Yesterday I had the opportunity to hike a nearby trail that follows a river though some mountains. It was quite the adventure! We took a bus to a town called El Pelor and walked through the town to reach the trail.
It was awesome! The view was amazing, and nature was flourishing! (I know that’s hard to imagine during the middle of winter while it’s snowing outside and below zero) The weather was perfect. It got a little hot around mid-day, but that’s to be expected.
Once we reached a part in the trail where it crosses the river we decided to stop and have lunch. It was an amazing view and we took advantage of it to the fullest! I put on my headphones, walked a little ways off, and began singing out my heart to the Lord! I was able to cry out His name and tell Him how much I loved Him. Surrounded by such beauty, with the sun pouring on my face, I heard His voice telling me how He loves me more than I could ever imagine. He created such an awesome place, for me, as a reflection of His love, His power, and His grace! The sound of the river drowned out my voice to the rest of the world and I was able to let go completely, solely for the Lord to hear.
It was an amazing time of worship. Time with just God and I, time desperately needed to give God what he deserves, my undivided attention, my heart, my life, my worship.
I love my time alone with God worshiping, I am glad you are getting that refreshing time with God.
Tamara! It’s great to hear of God ministering to you there in the DR while you are pouring out to the team! I love those moments when He just pours out His love upon us. You are in my prayers, and if you need anything from the States let me know!
